Addison Oktoberfest, presented by Paulaner, adds a purely Texan twist to traditional Oktoberfest celebrations. The renowned festival will bring approximately 50,000 fans together over four days to revel in German culture. One of the best parts of that cultural celebration is all the food and bier that comes along with it. Addison Oktoberfest will serve up German fare with a side of Texas fare, bier by Paulaner and new this year, Hacker-Pschorr, two of the six German breweries permitted to serve bier in the Munich Oktoberfest. As part of the Texas spin on the event, the Texas Zwei Step area makes its festival debut, serving up Oktoberfest biers from Texas craft breweries.

On the menu for those seeking Bavarian bites: sausage plates from Siegi's Sausage Factory; brats with loads of toppings at The Brat Haus, Munich Brat Haus and the Draught Haus; schnitzel from Hoi-Hoi's and Sticks N Things; strudel from Helmut's Strudel; Oktoberfest Beer Glazed Bacon from Werner's Bavarian Bacon Haus; German potato salad, spaetzle and schnitzel from Ms. Piggy's Catering; and so much more. New this year, Kaffee und Kuchen moves to the Stone Cottage located on the north side of the festival grounds. It will feature German Waffle on a Stick, Black Forest Cake and lebkuchen herz—heart-shaped gingerbread cookies that come in large and small sizes and can be worn around the neck as decoration.

Adults can select from a variety of craft bier from Paulaner including Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier, Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Paulaner Pils and Paulaner Grapefruit-Radler. Another of the six official Munich Oktoberfest biers, Hacker-Pschorr, will be offered exclusively in the new Partyzelt tent with Hacker Oktoberfest and Hacker Gold.

As for Texas twists on food and beverages, guests will have plenty of choices: corndogs from Corndog With No Name and JBW Vending, who will each have funnel cakes, as will Jake's Cakes; a bevy of Mac & Cheese offerings from Smackin Mac; all the barbecue you want from Kidwell BBQ; chicken nachos and fried turkey legs from Sticks N Things; and more. Oktoberfest biers will be provided from select Texas craft breweries, located exclusively on the north side of the festival grounds. Look for the live Glockenspiel - the Prost y'all call will be flowing with the bier.

We have more food and beverage offerings than ever before for the 2024 Addison Oktoberfest, said Abby Morales, special events director for the Town of Addison. Whether you're in the mood for authentic German food and bier, or your tastebuds are looking for a little local Texas twist of comfort food and drink, we have something for absolutely everyone.
