The Town's legendary special events attract tens of thousands of people to North Texas with talented musical guests, memorable visual displays, dancing and more. For 2024, Addison's signature festivals Taste Addison, Addison Kaboom Town!® and Addison Oktoberfest will return along with a special celebration centered around the solar eclipse in April, Total Eclipse of the Park.
First, the stars align—literally—for the most electrifying event in Addison Circle Park in 2024, Total Eclipse of the Park. Stargazers of all levels are encouraged to grab their blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers and participate in daylong activities including live music, food trucks, and much more. It will definitely not be a regular Monday. It all culminates with a chance to view the total solar eclipse at 1:40 p.m. Total Eclipse of the Park takes place April 8.

Next, Addison has an experience for every vibe at Taste Addison, the iconic festival that started in 1993. With a focus on the culinary arts, performing arts, and visual arts this year, there is truly something for everyone. Food booths and trucks, international delicacies, a Sunday brunch, and tasting area kick off the culinary experiences. Beer, wine and spirits will round out the culinary space to fill your cups! National, regional and community artists take to the stages (and spaces) for the performing arts. Art comes to life visually and adds to the shopping experience. Festivities for the kids will make it a weekend of family fun as well as a foodie experience for every palate. Taste Addison is a chance to discover what makes Addison the live-work-play capital of North Texas. The festival happens May 31-June 2.

Addison Kaboom Town! lines the sky with aircraft and illuminates the night with sparks on July 3. The dazzling, nationally renowned fireworks and air show kicks off the celebration of Independence Day. The Town watch parties extend from Addison Circle Park to many of the 200+ restaurants, creating a true, townwide celebration.

Finally, at Addison Oktoberfest, experience the original Bavarian celebration with a purely Texan twist. For more than 35 years, people have donned dirndls and lederhosen (or have just come as they are) for four days of revelry in German culture, food, music and bier. Prost to the sound of polka bands and other entertainers on multiple stages in Addison Circle Park, and participate in special games for bier lovers, kids of all ages, dachshunds and more. Be sure to bring your dog for Sunday Hund-day. Raise your favorite German stein and say, Prost, Y'all!
