Texas offers warm weather most of the time; but during any season of the year, indoors or out, Dallasites still have a number of great options for sexy summertime activities. Manage the southern heat by taking advantage of area pools and water parks, hit the lake, or observe the action waterside from settings like Sneaky Pete's on Lake Lewisville or the Glass Cactus' large outdoor patio over looking Lake Grapevine. Relax on a chartered boat from Sam's Dock, or stroll around in your fancier duds while taking in the uptown Dallas skyline at Hotel Zaza's glamorous Urban Oasis.

Too cold for playing outside?

In that case, grab a couple of Daiquiris to Go and take the party indoors. Don your favorite pair of sunglasses and bikini or Speedo, crank up the heater, throw on a Beach Boys CD, light a pina colada candle or two, and lay out a couple of beach towels or lawn chairs on the floor. Fill an inflatable pool (or the bathtub), bring in the pool toys, and pretend it's hot outside. You won't need to worry about working on your tan, so just use that coconut scented lotion as massage oil instead; and don't forget to whip up a batch of homemade ice cream (or just buy a carton of some delicious Texas-made Blue Bell).

If you prefer to cool off inside, there are also lots of fun activities you can do together. Try learning a new skill—it's a fun way to bond and makes for great conversation between the two of you as well. You could try cooking—which also provides you with something delicious to eat—by taking a cookery class in an exotic cuisine like Mexican food or Thai. Perhaps you want to get crafty? A pottery or basket making class will leave you with lots to talk about, and a memento of the day. More of an adrenaline junkie? Taking a lesson in windsurfing or scuba diving makes an extremely memorable date. Or perhaps you prefer something more artistic and expressive. In that case, maybe you should take art classes and create a masterpiece together.
