DATE IDEAS | PLAYMATES
The world is your playground; so grab your best mate, head outside, and get active as you run willy-nilly all over town to these fun recess-like facilities.
Hot and fun?
They don't call 'em 'playmates' for nothing. Red Rover, Red Rover, let your best pal (looking and otherwise) come over for some frolicking and merrymaking at these top area attractions.
Pack a lunch and rent from a selection of bicyles from Richardson Bike Mart. They're located on the east side of White Rock Lake less than a mile south of Buckner on the east side of Garland Road at Oldgate. Take along your Frisbee, kite, football, sightseeing binoculars, ... whatever.
Biking not your thing?
Find your way to a nearby school playground or city park where you can match up on the tennis or basketball court, create chalk art on the sidewalk, roller blade/skate, or just run around like it's sixth grade Field Day all over again. We won't highly suggest that you take a walk in the rain if a sudden shower should occur ('cause you know, we want you to be safe from lightning and all), but we will say that a little necking under a big tree while you're all soaking wet can be an experience for the books.
If you decide to head indoors though ...
Show off your mad bowling skills at Bowlmor, Splitsville Luxury Lanes, or Xtreme Bowling at Spare Time Lanes. Go for a bout of laser tag, rock climbing, batting cages, paintball, or give slot cars a roll. Or just forget all that and catch a game at an area sports bar.
Need more action?
Well, you've got Sandy Lake Amusement Park and Six Flags Over Texas of course, or you could get extreme with a bungee jump or Skycoaster ride at Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park. If that's not enough, check out any of these additional activities.
Still just hooked on that 'Playmate' thing?
In that case, check out this list of adult novelty stores where you can peruse through some of the other types of 'toys'.
