You could observe the other drivers getting after it on the track at Texas Motor Speedway, on the drag strip of Texas Motorplex, or in the dirt at Devil's Bowl.

But why just watch when you can participate yourself?

Take a Thrill Ride or Extreme Drive in a Z06 Corvette or exercise your own car's legs in a Driving School Intro to Road Racing (both withTotal Driving Experience), shift gears and experience NASCAR power at The Richard Petty Experience, hone your skill in a Legends car at Lone Star Legends, or get behind the wheel of a full size, open wheel, Indy style race car at the Mario Andretti Racing Experiencewhere your personal instructor gives you feedback and instruction over the two-way, in-car radio.

Need a few practice laps to get acclimated? That's understandable.

Start out like most racers do - in the go karts. Among other places, you can take them for a spin on Thunder Road at SpeedZone which is where you will also find the 300 horsepower TopEliminator Dragster and drift style racing on the Slick Trax.

Have a need though for the feel of the open road?

Still need more air?

To refuel, have lunch or dinner on the eighth floor of The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway. We highly recommend getting a table right by the huge front window / glass wall that overlooks the track. The amazing view of Turn 1 is electrifying; and during practice, qualifying, and races, you can see the cars speeding right toward you before rounding the corner!
