What Dolce & Gabbana Lines Were at Design Miami

The collections shown at Design Miami's various locations stuck with a tradition of embracing local culture when participating in fashion shows.

What Dolce and Gabbana Lines Were at Design Miami

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce brought their fully gilded brand to Design Miami. Here is a brief overview of how we got here and what we at Dolce & Gabbana brought to the city.

Dolce & Gabbana Take Over Miami

Since we launched Alta Moda, our company has loved seeing fashion shows as entertainment. In 2022, to celebrate ten years of Alta Moda, we went beyond our traditional Milan fashion shows to host a Sicilian extravaganza and a Kardashian wedding. However, now, we have shifted our focus to the southern part of the United States. Dolce claims that this is due to his Sicilian origins. That gives him an appreciation of Latin culture, as found in Miami. Dolce appreciates the changes that have taken place in the city as well. He explains how it is a metropolis these days. The weather and the city's atmosphere make the area a draw for many individuals. For those of us at Dolce & Gabbana, it is a place where Latin culture can flourish. The collections we showed at Design Miami's various locations incorporated hints of Latin tradition. This move stuck with our tradition of embracing local culture when participating in fashion shows.

Alta Moda

Seen alongside a variety of design installations, Alta Moda was a hit at Design Miami. There, Alta Moda displayed numerous kimonos and dresses. The materials for these garments included taffeta, organza, velvet, crystals, chiffon, and lace. Some of the features of these designs include flowers, exposed splints, and corsets.

Alta Sartoria

Our Alta Sartoria men's line featured everything from tuxedo jackets to pajamas. At Design Miami, you could see both single and double-breasted jackets, tuxedo jackets, and robe coats. Some materials include crystals, velvet, metal threads, bugles, beads, sequins, faille, silver, silk, satin, and twill. In addition, you could see these jackets paired with a variety of our accessories, including shirts, trousers, bow ties, slippers, tank tops, waistcoats, tuxedo shirts, scarves, and tuxedo trousers. A lot of our clothing featured plain colors and prints. However, our pajamas went overboard, sporting geometric designs. One that was particularly notable in this category was a geometric pajama shirt paired with pajama boxers and slippers.

Alta Gioelleria

Alta Gioelleria was gilded during this to fit the theme. Our designs included a wide selection of earrings, necklaces, and more. Gold was paired with tanzanites, emeralds, diamonds, pearls, tourmalines, peridots, garnets, coral, micromosaic, coins, and other gemstones.

Alta Orologeria

Likewise, Alta Orologeria was also gilded. Our Don Carlo watch was one of the most popular pieces in this collection. It came with a hand-engraved 18K gold case containing 11 emeralds. It was held onto a man's wrist with alligator straps and a gold clasp. Patrons could see jade and gold markers and hands inside the sapphire glass.

Dolce & Gabbana Lines Can Be Yours

While these specific garments were all handmade for Design Miami, you too can have unique clothing from our designers at Dolce & Gabbana.
