White Waters
In Cobb County, there are about 69 acres of water park. If you love white water rafting, you should head to the Six Flag White Water park that has been running since 1984. It hosts over 600,000 people a year and has a 4.2-star rating on Google. The health and safety of the guests is the top priority, so you each get an inflatable safety jacket and a helmet along with knee pads and elbow pads if you want them. You'll be taught how to paddle, how to steer the raft, and how to maintain balance. An instructor will be with you at all times, directing the route down the white waters. It's super good fun with lots of splashing, ripping through the current, and jumping over the edge of small waterfalls. The whole family can be on one raft, or you can split up into smaller rafts to have a race.
Live Events
It's the right time of the year to consider heading to Atlanta to enjoy the food, music, and theater. There are tickets on sale for live concerts as well as live sports. As you may know, Atlanta has a great basketball team that has recently been in the playoffs to win the Eastern Conference. During their games, you can take the opportunity to watch them play. There are also live concerts that will be held in the large stadiums and halls like Coolray Field, The Masquerade, etc.
131-Acre Park
As mentioned, there are plenty of parks to choose from if you want to walk your dog, go for a jog, or just take an evening stroll. The 131-acre Grant Park is very popular because it also has live animals like pandas, flamingos, elephants, and tigers. They are part of the zoo section, but the other parts are totally safe to roam free. The large trees, green forests, and hiking paths are amazing as well. You're never too far from the city but not quite into the country, so you can take a small backpack with you filled with food and enjoy a picnic while feeling like you're in some ancient woodland.
The city that built itself in the middle of a forest, Atlanta, is a great place to have an adventure. There is much to do including live events, sports, a zoo, a huge park, white water rafting, and much more.
