4 Ways to Bond With Your Friends

To develop solid friendships, you must intentionally create time for each other, get to know one another well, and do fun things together.

4 Ways to Bond With Your Friends

Friendships, just like other relationships, need nurturing to make them solid and permanent. If you struggle to keep close ties or don't tend to have intimate friends, you probably need to invest more energy in making the friendships stronger. It's often not about how many friends you have, but rather the meaningful friendships you sustain throughout life. To cultivate the art of happiness and make your friendships last, you have to intentionally create time for each other, get to know one another well, and do fun things together. You can only intimately know your friends if you spend quality time together. Here are ways you can create lasting friendships.

Have Fun Together

People tend to be more relaxed and happy when having fun. You can choose different indoor and outdoor activities, but choose activities everyone will feel comfortable participating in but encourage them to try new experiences. Before choosing, ask everyone to make suggestions and choose the most appropriate days. Some activities require adequate time and preparation, making weekends and holidays excellent days to hold the activities. Some of the suggestions may include airsoft sport, surfing, soccer, swimming, hiking, and exploring. If you choose airsoft sport, make sure to have enough and quality electric airsoft guns. For more fun, select a different activity every other weekend to break the monotony.

Go on a Trip

Do you like hiking, exploring new places, or just the excitement of visiting a new site? Plan a vacation with your friends. To make it work, choose a destination everyone likes and let the schedule accommodate everyone's preferences and availability. Vacations may be the only times you get to spend extended time with your friends, far from distractions such as family and work. It's also a chance to get to know each other more, encourage everyone to talk about any issues, and find solutions. The memories you build on the trip will outlive the vacation.

Be Available

Everyone goes through challenging times. At some point, a friend may lose a close family member, go through a painful breakup, experience an illness, or lose a job. Having caring and supportive people with you during difficult times is encouraging and can make people feel much better. Get to know how you can help your friend. If they are having financial difficulties, try to help them get a new job or clear some bills for them. If they've lost a loved one, spend more time together and let them know you will always be there when they need company. When your friends know they can trust and rely on you in difficult times, they will feel more attached to the friendship.

Be Yourself

You don't have to put up a face or pretend to be what you'll not to attract or keep friends. When you are authentic, you'll attract genuine friends you'll share common interests and goals with, making it easier to relate.

As you build friendships, celebrate each other's victories. Once in a while, do something special for a friend like throwing a surprise birthday party. Ultimately, just remember that friendships are simply about enjoying life together.
