Updates and Changes Give More Oomph to the 2018 Lexus IS 300

Luxury answers to many names, and one of them is Lexus. The IS 300 RWD (formerly dubbed the 200t RWD), is a seductive sports sedan with what you might call some noteworthy new features for the current model year.

Despite a significant redesign in 2017, the 2018 IS 300 is additionally outfitted with notable headlamps, L-theme LED running lights, and large air intakes in the front bumper. F-Sport versions also get a jet-black three-dimensional mesh patterned grille.

Inspired by the wheel and instrument panel of the Lexus LFA supercar, the interior of the IS 300 now features dual-zone climate control with touch-sensitive switches along with an optional comfort package which includes memory driver and passenger seats, memory heated outer mirrors, power steering column, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and more. For improved performance, a 5-horsepower increase gets applied to the IS 300 AWD, IS 350 RWD, and IS 350 AWD with limited slip differential for the IS 350 RWD with F-Sport. Advanced construction techniques improve body rigidity, and enhancements produce better handling control and steering response. The car's electric power steering system also offers a smoother feel as well as nice driver feedback.

The IS 300 now comes equipped with Enform Safety Connect and Enform Service Connect complimentary for the first 10 years of ownership, and an available comfort package includes a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. An adaptive front lighting system is also now available, and the ever-handy backup camera becomes standard on all models.

Warranty updates further give consumers 48 months/50,000 miles basic limited warranty with roadside assistance for 48 months/unlimited miles, 72 months/70,000 miles powertrain and restraint system coverage, and 72 months corrosion perforation protection coverage regardless of mileage.
