The all-new design language for the 2024 Encore GX Avenir SUV epitomizes elevating luxury along with an array of exclusive features that highlight Buick’s “new look” of sophistication and refinement. For me, this 'new' styling is what Buick always represented to me from a bygone era. As a youth, my Midwest hometown had well over a dozen manufacturing plants that were recognized both nationally and internationally. Also, there were a number of large and successful farms in the area, so the financial demographic of the town was able to easily support a Buick dealership. Most of the time the individuals that drove a Buick, were either a farmer’s wife or junior executives who were working their way up the corporate ladder. If you saw someone driving a Buick back then, you knew they were doing pretty well. Looking back, I guess you could say the Buick line was the entry level for the Cadillac line.

Elevating Luxury

As you approach the vehicle the first thing that catches your eye is the Avenir grille which instantly commands attention with its Black Ice finish. The Avenir also sits on bespoke 19" polished premium wheels that are exclusive to the Avenir. It gives the vehicle a sophisticated pop. Those stunning wheels are framed perfectly by body-color wheel arch flares and lower rocker cladding which further enhances the Encore Avenir's distinguished presence on the road. Finishing off the walk around you will see the vehicle's LED taillamps that feature unique clear lenses that ensure the Avenir's distinctive character shines through, leaving an undeniable impression of luxury and sophistication.

Interior Sanctuary

When you climb into an Encore with the new Avenir trim you are sitting exactly where the harmony of premium design and advanced technology creates an unmatched driving sanctuary. My press loan Avenir's interior was a testament to Buick's meticulous attention to detail that featured ebony with ebony accents. The front seats were leather appointed and adorned with a unique quilted stitching pattern and embroidered logos on the head restraints, showcasing luxury in every stitch. There are also heated front row seats as well as the steering wheel, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with additional lumbar control to ensure a tailored driving experience. Rounding out the spa interior experience is the dual-zone automatic climate control system.

The interior technology portion of the Avenir is highlighted by Buick's Virtual Cockpit System that seamlessly integrates an 11-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen and an 8-inch diagonal driver information center under a single pane of glass that is angled perfectly towards the driver for easy connectivity and control. To further enhance the sanctuary feel, there is also available an optional Bose® premium 7-speaker audio system. For those long summer trios, there is plenty of legroom for the second row and the SUV's extra-versatile cargo space includes a standard 40/60 split rear seats and a flat-folding front-passenger seatback, promising adaptability to any lifestyle.
