This luxury compact performance coupe features 'in-your-face' styling and an extroverted presence.
A great smile is considered to be an important asset when making a good impression, and the new 2022 BMW M240i XDrive Coupe exemplifies the case in point. Take one look at this luxury compact performance coupe, and the first thing you're likely to notice is its assertively athletic exterior design. The 'in-your-face' lines and boldly shaped surfaces combine to form a powerful-looking front end, while the wide and grounded stance exudes a menacing demeanor contrived from components including a low front bumper, flared fenders, and muscular power dome at center hood.
The new, performance-oriented turbine-style BMW kidney grille which is surrounded by a single-piece frame in cerium grey not only looks cool, but literally is itself a cooling feature. Vertically arranged air flaps that operate electrically can open in ten stages to provide increased cooling air for the vehicle as necessary. Air curtains integrated into the triangular inserts located on the outer edges of the front bumper also direct air intake over the wheels to further reduce unwanted turbulence.
A long hood, short overhangs, and a set-back cabin all serve to beef up the car's athletic appearance, and a precisely drawn shoulder line extending from the specifically contoured headlights along the sides and back to the rear lights lends to the no-nonsense styling as well. Available adaptive LED headlights which are optional with the Premium Package respond to steering angle providing a cornering light function that can "look"forward and illuminate the road ahead.
The new 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder BMW TwinPower turbo engine delivers 382-horsepower, and the all-wheel drive version accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of either 130 mph or 155 mph depending on the specification selected. With each and every component optimized for both substance and style, the M240i xDrive Coupe showcases its dynamic character.
A supremely sporty compact car, the BMW M240i xDrive Coupe embodies a passion for spirited driving
—power, precision, and most of all, performance.

Source: BMW | Striking, extroverted styling, more powerful engines, improved chassis and dynamics, greater interior room and the latest in infotainment and connectivity are just some of the improvements that await the new BMW 2 Series Coupe driver. The new 2 Series Coupe is focused on delivering maximum driving enjoyment, with every component having been optimized for this purpose. ... The two-door compact sports car features numerous hallmark ingredients, unique in the premium compact segment, to deliver an exhilarating driving experience. Rear-wheel drive, a powerful inline 6-cylinder engine, near 50:50 weight distribution, a very torsionally stiff body and a chassis tuned for agility all combine to make the new 2 Series Coupe a leader in its class.
The legacy and traits of the original BMW 2002 live on in the new 2 Series Coupes which begin production in late summer of 2021. Available in both rear-wheel drive and xDrive all-wheel drive variants, the compact, powerful and agile, the driver-oriented two-door coupes are designed to meet the expectations of the most discerning BMW enthusiasts. During the development of the new BMW 2 Series Coupe, the test and tuning sessions on the famed Nurburgring's Nordschleife served as the ultimate test for the suspension, chassis, steering and braking systems. Additional tuning on public country roads around Munich and at the BMW Group test facility in Maisach, Germany ensure that the driving qualities of the new BMW 2 Series Coupe will be enjoyable during every drive. Through rigorous testing of drivetrain and chassis systems, the development engineers can ensure that the engine's performance characteristics go hand-in-hand with precisely balanced traction, handling and comfort in varied weather and road conditions.
The M version of the new 2 Series Coupe, the M240i xDrive, sees a power increase of 47 hp to a new output of 382 hp from its 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder TwinPower turbocharged engine. That power is transferred, in the initial model offering, to the rear-biased BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system through a standard 8-speed Sport Steptronic automatic transmission. The xDrive all-wheel drive systems sees additional benefits from the fully-variable, electrically controlled M sports rear differential which allows both systems to combine in delivering excellent traction and stability during both lateral and straight-line lateral acceleration. Aerodynamic details, such as the front lip spoiler, front splitter, air curtains, air deflectors and under floor covers for the fuel tank and rear differential reduce front end lift by 50 percent when compared to the predecessor model.
