RAM Truck has made available its new RAM Truck Territory experience, a 60,000-square-foot ultimate in-truck adventure which allows auto show attendees an opportunity to experience firsthand the power and capabilities of the whole RAM brand. Passengers experience interior styling and comfort as they are chauffeured by trained professional drivers around an indoor adventure loop in order to demonstrate different technical facets and power capabilities of the specific RAM vehicles.
Obstacles the trucks will encounter include a series of culverts and a 'high banked wedge' structure that stands over six feet tall with a 30-degree tilt which allow riders to experience the truck's comfort, stability, and handling in extreme terrain situations. The trucks that will be available for rides will be the RAM 1500, RAM 1500 Rebel, RAM 2500, RAM 2500 Power Wagon and RAM 3500. Passengers will also be able to experience personally Ram's best-in-class gas-powered torque and horsepower as a RAM 2500 featuring a 6.4-liter V-8 HEMI raises a wall weighing in excess of 4,000 lbs and then gently sets it back down.
The rider will get to see and feel how the pay load level technology works as a RAM 1500 has a 1,200 lb payload loaded into the bed of the truck. Additionally allowing passengers to see how quickly and efficiently the technology works, the class-exclusive active-level four-corner air suspension will then effortlessly level the truck even if the load is placed into the bed off-center.
The final key track feature the rider can experience is the Heavy Haul Hill, a demonstration that takes into account almost every extreme hauling situation for which you would use a truck. The rider will see firsthand what the true towing capability is in this extreme situation and then will experience the power and traction on a 13-foot-high, 192-foot-long course element with a 35-degree steep grade. The truck also descends so that the rider can see how Ram's hill descent technology works safe and efficiently.
