Often referred to as the Last Great Race on Earth,
this annual 1,000-mile sled dog race runs from Anchorage to Nome and covers some of the roughest and most beautiful terrain including jagged mountain ranges, frozen rivers, dense forests, and desolate tundra at temperatures far below zero with winds that can cause a complete loss of visibility.
