Located in Somervell County just northwest of Glen Rose, this intruiguing destination is renowned for some of the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in the world. Visitors can explore ancient footprints embedded in the riverbed, hike scenic trails, and enjoy activities such as camping, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, and wildlife observation. The grounds also feature life-sized fiberglass dinosaurs of a 70-foot Apatosaurus and a 45-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex which adds to the immersive prehistoric experience. Surrounded by limestone cliffs and natural beauty, it offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure, education, and historical significance, with summertime visits ideal when river levels are low for optimal viewing of the tracks.
