DFW Restaurant Week to Celebrate 20th Anniversary With 20+ Days of Dining and Festivities

DFW Restaurant Week 20th Anniversary Food & Wine Night event is set to kick-off the annual campaign.

Foodies, mark your calendars! The highly anticipated 20th Anniversary DFW Restaurant Week presented by Your Metroplex Cadillac Dealers, is coming up this August, with 20+ days of delicious dining and festivities. A major charitable fundraiser, DFW Restaurant Week supports both the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) in the Dallas area and Lena Pope in Tarrant County. All restaurants offer the main week of dining, August 7-13, with most participating for two or three weeks. Some restaurants also take part in Preview Weekend dining, August 4 - 6.Through the years, the campaign has donated nearly $7.5 million to charity, with the goal of raising $1 million for this year's 20th anniversary. The celebrations will kick-off with a special DFW Restaurant Week Food & Wine Night event, Thursday, August 3, at One Arts Plaza in Dallas. Tickets sales are now open.


20th Anniversary DFW Restaurant Week


Diners can find the official list of DFW Restaurant Week participating restaurants, including menus and reservation links, at DFWRestaurantWeek.com. During the DFW Restaurant Week campaign in August, diners can experience a different scene and cuisine each day as they select from more than 130 restaurants across the Metroplex offering delicious three-course prix fixe dinners for either $39 or $49. Many restaurants will also offer the DFW Restaurant Week Cadillac Lunch, featuring two-course lunches for just $20. Twenty percent of each meal purchased will be donated to one of the charity partners, NTFB or Lena Pope. Calloway's Nursery is the new partner for the 20th Anniversary DFW Restaurant Week Fourth Course Certificates. Among the campaign highlights:


  • Preview Weekend - Aug. 4-6 – Advance Preview dining at select restaurants
  • DFW Restaurant Week - Aug. 7-26 – 20 Days of Restaurant Week
    • Main Week Aug. 7-13, with most restaurants extending through Aug. 20 or Aug. 26
  • Calloway's Nursery | DFW Restaurant Week Fourth Course Certificates – Spend $25 at any local Calloway's Nursery and request a certificate for a FREE additional dinner course at participating restaurants!

Thanks to the community, DFW Restaurant Week has become our largest annual fundraiser and we're expecting our most successful campaign ever for this year's 20th anniversary, said Simon Powell, North Texas Food Bank interim president and CEO. Dine out for a deal during DFW Restaurant Week knowing that every dollar donated from your meal provides another three meals for hungry North Texans.


DFW Restaurant Week Food & Wine Night at One Arts Plaza| Aug. 3


The DFW Restaurant Week Food & Wine Night will officially kick-off DFW Restaurant Week with an evening of food and fun. Attendees will enjoy a variety of culinary experiences by top restaurants, domestic and international wines, cocktails and more. Live entertainment including a special performance by Linda Eder. The event is slated for Thursday, Aug. 3, at venue partner One Arts Plaza in Dallas. General admission and VIP tickets now on sale at DFWRestaurantWeek.com.

About North Texas Food Bank


The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit hunger-relief organization with its primary distribution center in Southwest Dallas, and administrative headquarters located in the Dallas Farmers Market. Each day, NTFB provides access to more than 190,000 meals for hungry children, seniors, and families through a network of more than 1,000 programs and more than 200 Partner Agencies. In fiscal year 2016, NTFB provided access to some 70 million nutritious meals. While the NTFB is making steady progress toward closing the hunger gap, much work remains to be done to reach the organization's 10-year goal of providing 92 million nutritious meals annually by 2025. NTFB is a member of Feeding America, a national hunger relief organization.


About Lena Pope


More than 87 years ago, Lena Pope began creating hope for North Texas children. Since its founding in 1930, the programs offered by Lena Pope have evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. Lena Pope provides counseling and education services that are designed to wrap around the entire family. From play therapy for young children to substance use treatment for adolescents and adults, Lena Pope is there to help meet the mental health needs of Tarrant County and the surrounding areas. Lena Pope operates Chapel Hill Academy, an open-enrollment, tuition-free public charter school for more than 500 elementary students in south Fort Worth. Lena Pope also has an Early Learning Center that provides quality early learning opportunities for children ages six weeks to five years. With the support of the community, Lena Pope will continue to help children and families thrive.
