Poké is a Hawaiian specialty that has cruised to the mainland and is quickly spreading across the U.S. Poké Bop is riding the wave into Dallas and has just opened their doors at 4103 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75219.  Traditional poke (pronounced "po-kay") is typically cubed, fresh, raw seafood - usually tuna, salmon or crab or other sea fare proteins- mixed with numerous healthy ingredients for example: cucumbers, mango, green onions, sesame oil with a multitude of sauces served over several organic rice options. For diners unfamiliar with the cuisine, think of it as deconstructed sushi. Poké Bop’s chef, Tommy Hwang, is a certified sushi chef with 27 years of experience and he's created a menu of traditional poké fare that is fresh and clean, available in bowl and rolls. At Poké Bop, diners will experience Hawaiian poke with a Japanese fusion flare resulting in the Supreme Beach Cuisine.

“Poké has to be fresh and we plan to use as many natural products procured locally as we can,” said Chef Tommy Hwang. “We also intend to cure our fish on site and diners will be able to taste the difference in the cut. We look forward to paring our fast-casual concept with quality ingredients, resulting in great tasting dishes at sensible prices.”

Build your own Poke' bowl or pick from one of their signature bowls. The Poké Donut is sure to be an instant cult favorite, which is a made-to-order sushi roll bent in the shape of a circle, creating a beautiful edible Poké donut! Diners can also enjoy a Poké Ritto which is basically an over-sized sushi roll that hasn't been sliced into pieces so you can pick it up and eat it with your hands, like you would a burrito. Premium Asian beers and various cold sakes are available by the bottle. Poké Bop can accommodate 25+ diners with seated tables as well as standing dining options. Limited outdoor seating is also available. Poké Bop’s owners plan to open 4 more Dallas-area stores in 2017 and franchise opportunities are available for interested parties.

Poké Bop designed their interior with Instagram in mind. A surfboard (long board) is displayed prominently in the back in keeping with the Hawaiian beach culture, along with the words Live, Wild, Love, Laugh, and Smile adorn the restaurant’s white walls. Don’t forget the hashtag #Ilovepokebop

Poké Bop is located at 4103 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75219, 214-521-POKE (7653).  Hours of operation are Sunday – Thursday, 11am - 9pm; Friday – Saturday, 11am - 9pm. Parking can be found in front of the restaurant as well as additional parking in the rear of the complex that includes a Starbucks. Delivery will be available in limited zip codes and they will be featured on many of the on-demand food carriers in coming weeks. Come experience Poke’ the way Hawaii’s North Shore surfers do.
