Long-time WFAA-TV, Ch. 8, Weatherman Troy Dungan, known for his bow tie fashion statement, is being honored with a
Bow Tie Bash at the sushi hot spot Black Ship Little Katana on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Joining in the celebration from 6:30-8:30 pm, anyone wearing a bow tie gets a 15% discount on their tab. Don't own a bow tie? Not to worry. Bow Tie experts from Ken's Men's Shop will be on hand to sell ties and teach the uninitiated how to expertly 'tie one on.'
Celebrity judges will join Troy will join Troy in handing out prizes.
Joining in the old-fashioned fun will be special Old Fashioned, featuring George Dickel Rye Whiskey, for $7.
A portion of the event's proceeds benefit the Carr Cares Foundation launched in 2012 by Dallas Cowboy Cornerback Brandon Carr. The Carr Cares Foundation was established to inspire young students to become proficient readers by providing learning tools and resources to help them reach their full potential and to encourage them to live a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness and balanced nutrition.
Black Ship Little Katana is located at 665 S. Lamar and is one of four new restaurants in the Downtown Dallas Omni Hotel Complex. Hours of operation are Mon.-Thurs. 11:00am-2:00pm/4:00pm-10:00pm; Fri. and Sat. 11:00am-2:00pm/4:00pm-11:00pm and Sun. 5:00pm-10:00pm.
